My name's Audrey Geipel (pronounced "Guy-pull"). I'm a Midwesterner at heart, and after 6 years in Los Angeles, I decided to relocate to Minnesota so I could be closer to family.
Hi!
When I say I can wear a lot of hats, I really mean it. My background includes math, animation, coding, music, customer service, and most recently user experience design.
Outside of that formal background, my hobbies are also eclectic. In my spare time, you can find me Baking, watching movies, or exploring my new city and looking for opportunities to take photos.

Moving to Minnesota, Switching Fields
At the end of 2023, I moved to Minnesota just in time for the fall foliage and got my MN Welcome when it snowed on Halloween.
In January 2024, I began a 4-month, full time and in person program studying UX Design at Prime Digital Academy.

After graduation, I stayed in LA to work in the animation industry, and I spent two years at DreamWorks working as a Python Developer on the render farm. I learned a ton, and fulfilled a dream of getting an IMDb page.
2 years at Dreamworks Animation
One of the few things keeping me sane during pandemic school was working at Milk Bar Bakery. Working full time while doing (Zoom) school full time was actually great for helping me feel productive and getting to interact with my coworkers and customers. I learned a lot about work ethic, time management, and my own need for human connection (despite being a proud introvert). Getting the free baked goods at the end of the day also didn’t hurt.

Working Full Time During School
From 2017-2021, I got my Bachelor’s Degree in Applied and Computational Mathematics at the University of Southern California. I also discovered a passion of mine when I minored in 3D Animation.
I was part of the unfortunate group of Gen Z that was stuck in college amidst the pandemic, but by the time graduation rolled around, I was able to have an (albeit weird) in-person graduation.
